I'm not overly savvy when it comes to this stuff but basically whenever my da uses his tablet (it's a fairly old android version I believe) it seems to interfer and interrupt the signal to my ps3 and the laptop. I'm with UPC and have the Cisco router. Any help/advice or suggestions would be appreciated thank you :)

Setup a separate network for legacy devices, otherwise they will drag everything down. Or even better, just use a cable.

How do you go about setting up a different network? Also the ps3 is upstairs and the router is downstairs so running cables over the place isn't really an option.

Use powerline adapters to work around the hassle of running a cable.

To setup a different network you need a second wifi access point, which you should probably connect to the cable modem via powerline adapters, similar to above.
