Berlingo timing belt

    At what mileage should the timing belt be replaced on the newer Citroën berlingo (2010 1.6 HDI). any other advice appreciated, as I'm going looking at a few berlingos in the next few days.

    There's the factory rec. and then there's the real margin. Is 80k km not the absolute real world outside safe limit?

    The interval is 200,000km but lots of people do them early.

    people get very worried about the interval been so long but have done plenty with high mileage and all have looked pretty decent definitely not hanging.

    I agree with that. I'd have no issue leaving one until 200k before changing. The original interval was actually 240k but that was subsequently reduced.

    Thanks Guys, great to get info from people who know there stuff! Going looking at a few vans with 70-80K on them so wanted to know about the timing belt. Thanks again.
