Does SUSI cover transport costs?

I want to go to Carlow IT next year but the cost of transport is turning me off. Do SUSI cover this cost? If not, is there any other way to lessen the cost (Carlow Access program?) Also can anyone tell me what the average maintainance per month is for a student? I'd just like to get an idea before I decide on a college.

There are different levels of grant dependent on your income
