Damaged Amplifier/speakers

    Hi,

Hoping someone can offer some advice here. I have an electric piano (actually can't remember model, will update later). I was away for a year and it was stored in my parents attic. When I plugged it in it wasn't working, after going to a repair shop I just got it back. The sound is awful :( it sounds like a kids toy or something. It's only 2 years old so I don't want to get rid of it. Someone suggested getting speakers and plugging them in when I'm playing. Does anyone know if that works, or have speakers that they would recommend for this?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Check back with were you had the instrument repaired?

The original speaker is probably compromised i.e. damaged

    Re: synth and additional Amps

Check if the synth/piano has either a mono or stereo outputs

If it does have outputs, invest in the correct instrument cables etc..

If so these outputs can be connected to a additional Amplifier
    or
    a Amplifier & speaker "Combo"

All you could use the correct instrument cables and input the piano directly into multi-purpose P.A. system

I hope this is of some help.
