    Hi everyone

My husband and I are currently at the roof stage of our new build and have been asked to have a think about our socket locations and electrics. We would greatly appreciate any advice on location of sockets, how many in each room or whatever suggestions people may have from personal experience. We are pretty clueless regarding electrics so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Was in the same situation recently my best advice is get quotes from 3 electricians at least ,the guys that know their job will put lots of ideas your way regarding sockets and TV points ,

i would suggest a double socket in each corner per room and more low/high level in kitchens, utility etc. as required. Your electrician could take the lead but hes probably wondering if you have any specific requirements....

Spend a few more bob and use good quality British/European made fittings (sockets etc) and not the cheapest you can get.

You'd get more replies in the electrical forum.
