    Hi All

Looking for an opinion if possible.

This TV is available now for 4999, not a bad price for what you get and the temptation is high.

What I am wondering is how quickly will prices drop on these type of TVs do you think and how soon ?

No native 4k media available so to buy one anytime soon is just wasting time and money

    +1

Not to mention, that like any new tech such as DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D, the first adopters are going to pay a smegging fortune for it.

You will see an influx of cheap OEM 4K sets this year (you can buy a 39" in the US for $699)

Having said that, you will still pay top dollar for premium UHD tellies and for good reason. The key tech you are looking for is HEVC, VP9 and HDMI2 w/HDCP2.2.

Content is on route and provided your purchase has the key elements above you will not be left hanging. Blu-Ray will be announced in the fall by which time Sky should be on board.

Overall, hold off until June as all the new 4K models will be released.

If I was going down the 4K route, there's no chance in hell I would buy any of those OEM models. The quality of the upscaler and motion processor in those sets are bloody horrible and for that size of screen you will certainly need them. Wouldn't even consider 4K in any set under 50".
