auto gearbox for essex v4

Hi im looking for an automatic gearbox and torque converter to fit a 2.0l v4 essex engine if anyone would know where to find one . Needed for a trike project im at thanks in advance.

Is that for the trike or just the hearse ? Thanks for the help

No not mine just finishing gl500 trike looking to start second one have the engine out of a mk1 transit but i only have a 4 speed manual and i dont fancy trying to change gear going around a corner etc not that mad yet but getting there

Will the cologne gearbox fit the Essex ? I didn't think they were compatible.

I dont know about that i need to look into it to see what will fit. I have the v4 with 50k up on it and it runs great and its compact enough to fit nicely into bike frame.

no the cologne one won't but the Essex V6 one will afaik

2.5v6 essex, 3.0essex v6 auto boxes will work. C3 or c4(heavy duty) will work

C3 is a lighter weight box.

Any idea where i could find one c3 or c4

Ad in done deal for a start. Make sure you get flex plate and torque converter and starter. On a trike it should fly.

Thanks for the help will try that.
is the standard starter different then the auto box starter.

i have an autobox here came off a 2.0 dohc granada forsale if that would suit ?

Bellhousing pattern won't work. Also it's an electronic box. (A4ld) he needs c3
