How to Remove Conduit Search Protect?

Please help, I have been infected by this Conduit Search Protect virus. I have tried to go into the control panel and uninstall but it won't allow me. Any ideas?

This cr*pware got me last week, I denied two 'free' apps during an install of a so called 'trusted' OCR (optical character recognition) application, based on Tesseract, yet I still had Conduit Search installed.

AVOID: FreeOCR

I'm a bit embarrassed this caught me out, to be honest.

Malwarebytes sorted my issues.
