Manager used my signature on a letter I didn't write.

I have just found out that my boss has issued a letter to 150 of the staff on my team explaining a change in my title and department.

The letter itself was not drafted or approved by myself (I was never even shown a copy of it) but my signature was copy and pasted onto the letter. The letter is written as if it was written by me.

I do not agree with a lot of the content of the letter and I am wondering if my boss has broken any laws by effectively forging my signature onto a letter?

Absolutely get proper legal advice. Whatever laws your boss has broken - and there is a good case that he has broken some - the bigger issue is, what do you want to do about it? Because, of course, any action you take has serious implications for your relationship with your employer. You need to think very, very carefully about how to proceed, and you need the support of a fully-briefed, competent, trusted adviser. And, to be frank, you do not need the kind of opinions and advice you are likely to pick up on an internet discussion forum - even one as well-regarded as this is!

Get legal advice, and edit all info out of your post on the off chance your boss is on here.
