Racing season 2014 and pre-registration?

Last year there was a lot of talk that in 2014 we will need to pre-register for races. Has anyone heard anything more about this, or has it all quietly gone away?

Thse troublemakers Drogheda Wheelers(;)) put a motion at the AGM and got mandatory online pre-registration dropped ...

Promoters still have the option of making pre-registration mandatory (as currently happens in Ulster) on a race by race basis
