    Hey all,

Was thinking of going to Argentina in April. Living in the south does anyone have any advice on what is the cheapest airline to use in getting to Buenos Aires?

    Cheers

On long haul I would never pick the cheapest. The extra 2/300 euro is money well spent.

Check out BA, Air France, KLM, Iberia and Luftansa.

The OP didn't ask for what you would pick, they asked for the cheapest airline to buenos aires in April.

OP skyscanner.net is showing Delta from Dublin as the cheapest in April, from €700 return. Flying ex Cork with AL & BA is from €913

Don't know if I'd agree with this logic. If I was flying to Australia or the Far East maybe I'd pay a bit extra to travel on a 5 star airline like Cathay pacific or even Etihad but going across the Atlantic from Ireland/Europe they are all much of a muchness and certainly not worth paying €300 extra to fly on one over the others. I'd be going with the cheapest in this case.

If you are just visiting BA then I would just fly with a good reputable airline with reasonable stopovers.

However, if you plan on visiting other cities in Argentina , I strongly advise you to research this. Internal flights for Non nationals in Argentina are extortionate. the only way to get offers is to buy a package of flights . this package becomes discounted if you fly into BA using the national carrier Aerolineas or LAN.

Agree with the above, the air pass offered by Aerolineas can save you quite a few quid.

Also when I was there we flew with LAN a few times, they were quite reasonable in price, around $100 for an internal flight when a bus was $60 and took 15+ hours. But for some reason we could get the same flights even cheaper by using the Spanish version of their site, they must bump up prices for English speaking tourists. I don't know if that trick still works today but it's well worth spending 5 minutes to check the prices on both their websites.
