    Hi.

My dishwasher is giving a F1 (four flashes) error. It drains completely no problem. At the start of a program it drains then stops with the F1 error.

I checked pressure switch and thermostat. Both seem to be working fine.

Any ideas on what I can check or change ?

    Thanks.

f1 -ntc or thermister fault -

four flashes is usually f4 which is failure to drain out properly , you will have to check again

Stupid phone ...... F4 error not F1. But it does drain. But no water coming in I think.

F1 refers to a temperature problem, a faulty sensor or faulty heating element.

    heating element is f3

    F1 - NTC break

Temperature out of the normal value (-3°C till +85°C)
    • Temperature inside higher than +85°C
    • NTC defective (the NTC is the most common cause of this error
    • Dishwasher is frozen, less than -3°C
If the temperature is less than -3°C, fill the appliance with a cup of warm water to warm it up before you start it.
    F2 - Water Leakage

    • Water is in the bottom tray
Floater or float switch switches off the w ater valve and the electronic switches on the drain pump until pressure sensor reports that it is empty. There are numerous causes for this fault, but it all usually comes down to the fact that something, somewhere is leaking. To cure this you need to find the leak.
F3 - Dishwasher Heating System Defective

Indicated after approximately 25 minutes of failure to reach operating temperature.
    • Heats too slowly (less than 1,5 °C in 10 min)
    • Water heater or heating element is defective (this is the most common cause of this issue
    • Relays (RE2) on control board (CB) is defective
    • NTC - resistance fluctuation (the NTC or thermostat sensor, as noted above,
Check the heating element first if you get this error.
    F4 - Dishwasher Draining Failure

Drain pump starts and after 4 min the machine detects that it is “not empty”
    • Drain pump defective
    • Siphon closed
    • Control board defective (very rare!)
    • OWl/WI defective (Optical sensors, if fitted, but most don't have them)
The most common cause of this is either a blocked or defective drain pump.

The only strange this it my dishwasher is draining fine. I filled it with water in the base and kicked it off. It drained all the water away but after 4 min gave the F4 error. So I don't think its a blocked pipe or drain pump.

Its more something electronic I think but I dont know where to look next.
