The will of Patrick Forde records that he died in Castlereagh, Co. Roscommon on September 25th 1889.
There is a corresponding death on Family Search which I had initially thought didn't correspond as I thought it referred to Castlereagh in Northern Ireland.
I'm just wondering if it's safe to assume that the two records correspond and if so, why or when did Castlereagh, Co. Roscommon become known as Castlerea.

The Castlereagh reference on the BMD Index is to the Superintendent Registrar's District aka Registration District and covers parts of Counties Roscommon and Mayo. There's no registration district in Ulster with the same or similar name. The other Castlereagh, Co. Down would have been in Belfast Registration District.

The townland Index and historic OSI maps have the town in Mayo/Roscommon shown as Castlereagh, but I've seen it spelt both ways in older records.
