Do Bank of Ireland currently have any method of placing a description (narrative) on a bank statement when making a lodgement to a business account? If so could you give an outline on how to do it?

    E.g. "Customer Name" €500

    Hi podgesax,

Thank you for contacting us through Boards.ie.

It is not possible to place a description/narrative on an in branch lodgement to an account.  If you require a reference in order to identify who has made a payment to an account, we would suggest setting up a Standing Order or make an online transfer.  These two options will allow you input a reference such as a name that will be displayed on a bank statement.

    Many thanks
