I just bought a product online but they wont return tax

    I bought a hosting plan and url on go daddy, however it was the wrong thing. When I asked for a refund they will only refund the €48.02 but not the tax of €11.01
    They say it goes straight to Irelan's tax.

    Is there any way to get that €11 back? I screwed up so much. I can't believe I made such a dumb mistake.

    Okay so the woman I talked to said I would get no tax back but now I get an email. This is what I see. So does this mean I will get the tax back?

    You may not be able to tell but even losing the €11 is making me have a panic attack :(

    Never goto vegas so.

    Looking at the screen shot it seems that the credit includes the tax. Sounds like this woman has no idea what she is talking about. If you get a refund you get a refund, you cant pay VAT on something that hasn't been purchased. How many times do you go into shop and get a refund and not get VAT back.

    Godaddy are like one of the bigger companies I doubt they will give you too much trouble.

    Yeah this is what I thought. I record all calls like this so I have her saying (after she put me on hold for 5 min) that they told her I would not get it back. Right snide at the end even though I am freaking out. I really hope I get it back, I had thought it was off that the VAT would not be refunded. Gah I knew I should only ever use Paypal.

    I don't think I could ever gamble lol It is just not in me, need to keep my bank account in nice numbers.
