It varies massively from year to year and from group to group. This year it's the leaving certs but next year, who knows?

    Same as

Generally second yrs are the hardest work as they go through the terrible 2's 😃

I generally love fifth and sixth yrs as they really push to get the best out of you and i find those classes the most rewarding.

But any year group is capable of having a crap day where you are fit to strangle them all and the same class next week can have the most productive class/session of the term!

And then there is the group where you experience all that in the one 40 minute period!! 😀

It does vary from year to year, I tend to like Leaving Certs best though.

I have a soft spot for any JCSP class I teach.

They would have been my favourites too.

I enjoy them all for different reasons. 6th and 3rd because I like the focus on exams. 5th because while there's still a strong focus and sense of direction, you can also relax a fair bit and get to know your class.1st and 2nd because they're still just kids and it's often nice to go into them straight after an intense LC class.

But the one I don't like is 4th year [Don't have any this year :)] I like order and structure and I'm a big fan of exams because it's keeps both student and teacher motivated and focused. Therefore the disorganised nature of 4th year from an academic point of view with kids switched off from the more traditional stuff is a switch off for me. Though I do very much support the concept of TY for all the great stuff they get to do.
