    Hi
Am thinking of buying new Nissan , ideally want to trade in my current car ( just save having to sell privately )
I'm just wondering are the price listed for new cars negotiable.
What is the best way to get a deal? Money off listed price or see if I can get some of the extras added in ?

I'm based in Dublin , is it cheaper to buy outside Dublin ?

    Any advise be appreciated !

You won't get money of the list price if your trading in a car. You get money of the list price when buying straight ie trading no car in. If it's the new qashqai your looking at they won't be giving you much of as it's a new model just out. But generally the amount you get of just depends on how much demand there is for that model and how much the particular dealer needs to sell the car. If your own car is a popular model the best thing to do is stick it on donedeal and sell it then buy the new car straight. This is going to be the cheapest way of getting the new car. But it is more convenient to trade in your car but in the vast majority of cases will cost you more to change.

The discount you get is the money they add to the trade price of your car when they're valuing it. Shop around.

    What are you trading in?

Yes. You need to price as many dealers as possible and then play them off each other on price until you get the lowest one possible.
