if they consider this progress this all a matter, there was never going to be progress only regression

I assume some clown made a slip of a pen when doing the last review. for a guess of 200ac of Broccoli grown in the country this will have a serious impact. Where a housewife once used 2 heads of Broccoli now she will only have to use one such will be the effect. On saying that I have been over-applying N to my dozen heads of broccoli for the last few years, I hope the dept of ag dont do an audit on my fert records for the crop

your allowed to spread more P

feed changes wont make any difference to you :D:D

change in soiled water definition , 15 days storage for soiled water instead of 10.

Organic P going to be 50% available in year 1. could such a rule be retrospective???

calender year I assume, it not signed into law yet and could be rejected by them in Europe which is happening the 8th of Feb. thats what there is no new document about. Wonder what the new definition of soiled water is?

reason I asked about P availability change being retrospective is because I Know a man  in a spot of bother about P over application but under N levels. Such a change may allow him some leeway:D

this is a serious change and only dawned on me today what they are thinking

Regulation 23(1) (g) amended to state that records of livestock manure and other organic fertilisers moved on or off a farm will be in a format as specified by DAFM.
Article 23(4) amended to include Local Authorities as a body who may request information in relation to the movement of organic fertiliser

what are the bets that you will have to inform authorities before you move slurry and to where

    ICMSA comment
“There is also an additional layer of bureaucracy concerning the export of slurry from one farm to another whereby in future all such movements will have to be notified to the department in a specific format.

“In addition, the revision gives a new role to local authorities, enabling them to demand information regarding the movement of slurry. This is bureaucratic overkill,” he concluded.

Has anyone any idea what the new definition for soiler water is??!! This could be a right pain if it is overly onerous or broad. How can the propaganda machine in the Dept./Journal/AN Other broadcast this as positive when we dont know how far reaching the new definition will go. Maybe I'm missing something and its been published somewhere.....

Also, the ICMSA is spot on regarding the ammendments made to the reporting of movement of organic manures. Can someone explain to me why this has been added as part of the Nitrates Action Programme? Why would Europe care how we notify the Dept of organic manure movements or whether or not the Co. Co. is informed."Stick it in the nitrates action programme, jobs for the boys until 2017..."

no we dont have an idea and probably wont until its signed into law on the 8th of Feb

The export of slurry is going to add serious layers of paperwork to a fairly simple system. Just think of all the jobs N and P limits created out of thin air in the last 5 years
