no saorview on new digital terrestrial reciever

I just bought a combi box and tuned it in.It is connected to both the sky box and seperate ariel in the attic.When i do a channel scan it finds hundreds of the sky channels most of which have a lock symbol beside them.The problem is the saorview channels also have this signal.I have checked the ariel in another tv and its fine.
Any ideas would b much appreciated

Is there an option to do separate satellite and terrestrial scans?

Those aren't the Saorview channels, they're the encrypted satellite versions that are only available with a Sky subscription.

They're not completely useless: if you use teletext, it will work on them & might be the only way your box can access Aertel.

Is it an Arriva 250 by any chance? I had one recently and the terrestrial tuner didnt work

or as already said you might have to do a separate Terrestrial scan
