Mysterious Sky TV App Appearances on My iPad

After tidying up some screens on my iPad today, I later noticed the appearance of "Sky Go" and "Sky+" apps on a new screen. I don't have a Sky subscription and I certainly did not install any of these apps. I cancelled my Sky sub almost a year ago and I'm wondering if old Rupert is tampering with my mind? Anybody else have any ghosts of the past haunting their tablets? Do I need to consult an exorcist?

You don't have another apple device like an iPod or iPhone which is linked to the same apple I'd as your ipad do you.
Because if you did and downloaded the sky apps on one of those devices, all other devices signed in with that apple id will download the app aswell if the option is enabled.

I checked my only two other iPod touch devices and none had any Sky TV apps on board. However, the only thing I did differently today that I haven't done in many weeks was sync my iPad with my Dell desktop PC. Is it possible that iTunes could have somehow restored those Sky apps onto my iPad? I'm not a huge user of iTunes so it's an unfamiliar environment for me at the best of times.
Many thanks for your excellent hunch nonetheless

Yup don't worry Rupert ain't after you personally (too busy with his usual pursuit of world domination!) I've seen before apps that I deleted from my phone restored after a sync as they are backed up to the PC rather than cloud, just delete them and next time you're in iTunes try deleting them directly from iTunes under apps.
