Strange Almera problem.

After braking to a stop whilst in fourth or fifth gear when I press the clutch to engage first the engine revs simultaneously. No apparent problems otherwise. 01 Almera 1.5.

Is the car on the origina clutch?
How many miles are on it?

given that the proble starts when you press the clutch I would be thinking that - has the clutch been slipping lately?

no, not slipping just feels a bit vague- not
really "biting" if you know what I mean.

that could be the clutch on its way out.
Best thing would be a trip to your mechanic
