    S'up everyone.
Have a look at my attached photo.
    So, mouse or baby rat?
Saw this lad in the back porch yesterday. Ran in to town to get traps and found him like this then late last night. Poor lad. Rough end.
First one in the house. Well first one that I've seen anyway!

House mouse. You'll be lucky if he was alone, leave the traps there for another few days

    BBQ tonight?

Yeah I have three traps left out there. He is very dark isn't he for a house mouse and a really long tail.
I brought it upon myself really cause the garage door has a 1 to 2 cm gap at the bottom and then there is a slight hole in the wall from the garage to the back porch from the big freeze when we had to rip up a load of burst pipes and rads.

No, no BBQ this evening. It's too wet and cold outside and it'll be dark by five! He is going over the back wall.

He looks like a very young rat to me, tail is very long for a mouse?

have you seen any droppings? Rat droppings are like currants, while mouse droppings are like rice. Looking at picture again, id say its a baby rat.
