Thesis Help!

Hi,

I am in final year arts in NUIG and I have to do a thesis for geography. I want to do a thesis about smoking. I have decided to talk about nicotine addiction, dependence, smoking cessation and somehow bring the new e-cigarettes into it but now I cant come up with a specific thesis question/statement.

It was suggested to me to write about perceptions amongst smokers as to which alternatives (patches, e-cigs, going 'cold turkey', hypnosis, etc) work?

I am still not sure any suggestions would be welcome please ! ]

I'm curious... how is this a geography thesis?

Is it something like
"In England it's illegal to sell e-cigs to under 18s and in Ireland it's legal, and it turns out that there are now more underage cigarette smokers in England..."?
