Can I use this grade stainless steel

    I ordered a h cowl for my wood burner because of downdraft problems.
    Through my own stupidity I ordered one with mesh and stainless steel grade 430.
    The one I should have ordered was stainless steel grade 316.
    Will this make a lot of difference or can I not use it at all.

    Its a poor version of 304.

    Huge difference between 430 and 316

    Is it just a case that I can be used on solid fuel fire but won't last as long as 316?
