Hi all. If I'm in wrong dept tell me where to go. Recently bought a secondhand TowAVan box trailer for use as a mobile workshop. 10x6x6.5h. Just wondering if anyone uses a box trailer as a workshop. Looking for tips and ideas. Photos would be much appreciated. Planning to have a good size bench, generator and compressor on board.

Handy out id say. Only problem I could see is you would need to store it securely or it would be a fine easily taken haul of tools for a lowlife. You would have it gathered up for them in a ready to go trailer.

I read an American forum called Garage Journal and came across a thread recently about a RAC mechanic's van - it's a transit so it'll give you an idea how to get tools into a relatively (to a workshop anyway :-) ) small space

    Edit - here's a Blacksmiths Truck go to post#26

This wouldn't be left on site overnight. Only brought out when needed. Security is definitely an issue alright. My tow vehicle is a Defender 110. Just trying to get a gennie in and out has my back wrecked. Haven't a whole pile of room left when its in the back. Climbing over it to get to other stuff is a dose. Figured it it would be nice to roll up to a job with heavy stuff in trailer and have nothing to do only open the door and get started. Just wheel gennie out the door when it's required.

It's worth having a look through this thread on Contractortalk to get some ideas.
