Just wondering if anyone would have ideas for this window. I don't want roller blinds, etc. It has to be curtains or Roman blinds or possibly a combination of both. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

In my opinion, as an Interior Designer who has come across this type of window layout before, your best option would be a pair of curtains specifically made to fit shape of apex window and do roman blinds on the other windows. Romans on apex windows, whilst they can be made to shape, take up too much natural light.

Thank you, i'm thinking along this line aswell, I think if the curtains were held back close to where the apex begins & perhaps down further aswell it would look good (i.e. 2 sets of holdbacks) This would certainly help to keep the window clear.

I can't even think that window looked good on the plans. What were you thinking? Alter the window or face a lifetime of grief.

Curtains will rise from the windowsill as they are held back, looking like a skirt tucked badly into knickers.

I'm merely the curtain maker ... the window actually is fabulous & the view from it is amazing. It will even be more fabulous when its dressed. !! Its not in my own house, I just have ordinary boring 'normal' windows .

As a curtain maker, there is a way to solve curtains 'rising' when pulled back, sounds as though you've had a bad experience with these types of windows. ??

    I'd love to know how.

    If only you knew.

If it were my own house, and getting a builder in wasn't an option, I'd consider romans on the normal windows. I'd fix a long curtain track on the ceiling with a pair of curtains that just covered the apex windiws when closed, however these curtains pull back all the way to the corners and hide those ugly pillars when open. A small apex shaped pelmet would fill the gap.
