Hi bought 3 piece suite about 4 years ago, rarely used in sun room only really used on Sunday when I recline and read newspapers. Recently I noticed the back of the suite around the head area is peeling and there seems to be rip along a seem in the seated area. Have I any comeback from the retailer?

    Borderline, in my opinion.

First, if it's a cheap suite, what you might reasonably expect in terms of useful life is less than for an expensive one. The law presumes some relationship between price and quality.

Second, prolonged exposure to sunlight (insofar as that is achievable in Ireland) might count against you.

Suite was about 1600 euro all recliner, is in living room / sunroom. Not really exposed to sun. My wife put a leather cream on it after a year but has not been treated since. Bought suite in ez living in Galway. They seem to be good enough to buy stuff from but not sure how good they are to deal with regarding complaints. Has anyone any experience dealing with the regarding complaints. I think they have shop in Limerick and cork also.
