    Hi Guys

    Im very close to buying the Skoda Superb 2.0 130bhp elegance model (2006)
    Any one have any knowledge on these cars regarding reliabiltiy? Maybe someone is driving one? Any knowledge would be great!

    It's a 1.9, don't think they put the 2 litres into the Mark 1 until later. Nice spec on the elegance model too.

    With that engine if it's been serviced right and the belt and pump are don't they are pretty solid.

    Check for suspension knocks though and any dmf bangs.

    It is actually the 2.0 litre model..When i gave the number plate to insurance company they were able to tell me it is the 2 ltr model

    Thought it was 07 they went in, making it a 140. I'm not too sure how reliable they were on the B5/5.5 but someone like George Dalton should be able to help. I personally would prefer the old 1.9.

    2.0 litre (140bhp) was available from about 2005 onwards in the MkI Superb.

    Take note that certain versions of this engine suffer from injector problems but VAG should be replacing these under extended warranty now. Another problem with certain versions of this engine is with the balance shaft/oil pump. Again it only effects certain versions of this engine, not sure if the Superb is included.
