First off mods if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it.
So I got this email today from paypal saying you've sent a payment, I was a little alarmed so I opened it and it said you've sent a payment to skype for £42 for a 3 month subscription, knowing that I hadn't I rang my brother who sometimes uses my account to see if it was him but I knew he would have told me so wasn't really expecting him to say he had. He hadn't so back to look at the email again and noticed on the bottom "if you didn't send this payment you can open a dispute here" link which I pressed. This brought me to pay pals homepage where I was asked to put in my password which unfortunately I did ( have changed it since ) and from there I was instructed to put in my card details for them to refund the money.
Now alarm bells are starting to ring so I checked exactly where I was a website called doublehits.com and closed the page and logged into the real paypal to check account history and change my email.
Just taught I'd warn yas as this was pretty impressive and obviously designed to get you off guard because you're panicking about whom has access to you're account .

Always check the URL you're on and email addresses. That was probably a phishing attempt.

Never click a link inside such an e mail, just go to the site and your account as per normal, if there is anything to be attended to you will see the details there.
