Do you like the new Pope?

So the new pontiff is nearly a year in the job - how do you reckon he's doing?

I'm no catholic, but I get the feeling he is trying his best to put a positive change on things. It's not as fast as I'd like it, but I suppose an ancient and famously conservative organization like the Catholic Church will never change in a day.

I get the feeling he has his priorities straight at least - whatever about the people around him and the broader Church in general...

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, but now in a new dress.

He is better than that fake Pope with his high top sneakers and extremely foul mouth.

He's not changing anything. Just keeping schtum on the more controversial issues while using his soapbox for agreeable ones. It's almost like the Vatican got a functioning PR at last. So on that count it's progress. They have at least realised that the world is changing.

He is making some changes in fairness, though mainly with regard to how institutions within the Vatican operate. Gotta start somewhere.

Whenever he says something that seems somewhat progressive, there is always a follow up by "someone close to the pope" saying something on his behalf, that's equally disturbing. Not sure if he's a flip flop kind of guy, or he's a nice progressive pope with staff that are afraid of pissing off the die hard crowd.

Lets see if that's true after they donate all the gold to charity

But seriously, Francis seems sound. He gave a mate of mine 2 yokes (before he was pope obviously) and didn't even charge him
