Day out in Dublin

    Thinking of coming up to Dublin for a day or 2 at the weekend , would appreciate some ideas of some things to do during the day ?

    There are the usual museums, galleries etc. if that is for you, but check Sunday opening times. I would recommend Kilmainham Gaol, but it can be a busy place, so maybe get there early if interested.

    Plenty of markets around too; check them out on line. Parks are a good place for a stroll?

    The National Museum of Ireland is Free Entry and his on Kildare Street,

    Around the block on Merrion Street upper is the Natural History Museum which is also free. Down the street is the National Gallery this is on Clare Street.

    all of these are less that 5 minutes walk from each other.

    And you can also have a stroll through Trinity Campus which alot of people have never bothered doing.

    Check out the Science Gallery if you are over near the National Gallery.

    Jameson Distillery over in Smithfield is definitely worth a visit and you could check out Collins' Barracks which is in that part of town as well.
