    Hi,

Hoping someone may be able to point me to somewhere that I can buy an 80Ah AGM battery (BMW 520d e60 LCI). Original battery is AGM, so replacement needs to be AGM also.
Halfords only seem to have standard (not suitable for stop/start or cars with brake regeneration, which the LCI has). MicksGarage don't seem to have them. Any pointers apart from BMW dealer parts dept. that quoted 313 euro just for the battery?

    thanks,
    -fm

These guys are in the Tolka Valley Business Park.

Picked up a high capacity AGM for a stop-start BMW a while back for about €200.

Call them, they know their stuff.

Just remember that on the E60 you will need to have the new battery coded to the car's ECU. If it is not coded then the charge cycle will not be correct and your new battery will have a short life.

Thanks HandsomeDan and thanks bazz - yes I know it needs to be registered with IBS but won't actually require "coding" unless it's a different battery type or capacity.

Any other suggestions on places to purchase? "Trojan" and "Banner" wouldn't be battery manufacturer's I'd be familiar with?

Banner are an OEM supplier. The supply BMW with batteries, among others.

    Trojan do marine batteries.
