I was just wondering if anyone has ever rented a holiday villa/apartment abroad off someone from done deal? they'reb are some great offers and I've been emailing few owners and it seems legit, just wanted to hear back from someone who has done it?

yep we did last year, a place in spain,Murcia , got it for a bargain, nice family from mayo. Def an easy option, we rang up and discussed, they were fine to deal with, just be careful a lot of people bought holiday in the apartments in the boom and cant afford to visit often so make sure they are clean, not situated in deserted resorts,towels/bed linen etc should be included. Id say you could name your price on the majority of apartments on Donedeal for rent

Yes, we hired an apartment in Praia da Luz in 2012 from a lady in Wexford. No problems, easy to deal with by phone and e-mail. Got a good deal too, cheaper than similar apartments on ownersdirect.co.uk.
