On Saturday morning drove car out of garage onto drive to clean it inside. Fifteen minutes later when I tried to start it made a slight attempt to turn over then nothing.
I took out key fob & put it back in again to discover that all alarms were up on dash.
Phoned my local BMW dealer & was told battery was dead and needed a new one. I never asked how much a new one costs as I know a local mechanic & decided I was going to call him.
He told me I needed a new battery but as it was Saturday he would not have one until today Tuesday & would fit it then.
He has just fitted the new battery, all the alarms automatically reset & everything is back to normal.
    Total cost €150. :)
