Last night 8 mins of spin left started making mad noise, turned off, emptied, and spun drum around, seems to grate at the bottom, like an uncomfortable noise. Also found little white stones, which im guessing is calcium build up from hard water.

Have the machine under 5 years. Am i wasting my time repairing? Time to get a new one?

    Thoughts please

drum bearing or shaft gone - under 5 years id say its one of the Turkish made bosch with a sealed drum ,cant repair bearing on those .

Very similar situation to my Bosch WFL245S - it makes a horrible grinding noise on the spin cycle. No white deposits though. Did you manage to resolve your problem, or any ideas on mine?
    Thanks.

sudden noise has all the hallmarks of one of the arms of the drum spyder after breaking, if you examine the rubber gasket you should see where the drum rubbed against it if the arm broke, if this has happened in a 5 year old machine I suspect you are using liquid , a high pitched noise when spinning indicates worn bearings which can be replaced in the Bosch but you would need to be an extremely good diy er to do the job as the tub has to be removed and split, but normally worth doing if you have the ability as these machines rarely need anything more than brushes and a water pump to keep them running.
