Just a query, how long does an animal need to be in your herd before you can kill it? The reason I am asking a neighbour has a few heifers that are a good weight but need a bit more feeding and a few that are ready to kill. If I purchase them all, would I be able to kill the ones fit enough straight away or have to hold on to them for a certain number of days.

Are you bord bia approved and is he?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

As soon as they are in your herd you can kill, like blue said if you are in QA you will have to keep 70days to get it but mightn't be worth it for the ones to go straight to slaughter to keep feeding for 70 days

He is not in bord bia, but I am. Would not being in the scheme inflict on the final killing price?
