Hi all, I've been advised to get a pump to increase the hot water pressure(cold is fine) to my shower as it has completely lost pressure to the point where it's not working as just a dribble comes out. I've been looking online but tbh honest I've no idea which one to buy. Would be looking at spending about 200€. The pump will be attached to the tank in the hot press and the shower is in the next room. I use a combination boiler. Any help or advice would be much appreciated

Would I be on the right track with the above?

    A few quick questions,
Are you in a house or an apartment?
Your "Boiler" is it a big green tank about 6 feet tall in the hot press or a short 3 feet tall one?
Has the hot water ever worked properly or has it always been like this?

It's a 3 bed house. It's the big tank in the hot press. It's never worked as we'll I would have liked but over the last few weeks pressure has all but disappeared. Thanks.

Can you clarify what you mean by a combination boiler? Is it possible to show a picture of the hotpress?
It sounds to me that you may have a blockage or possibly an airlock somewhere on the hot line.
However, if your gas heating is a combi boiler what make and model is it.
Are your hot taps slow as well?

What type of shower have you?

If you've lost that much pressure that quickly you could just have a blocked filter in your shower. If there was anytime recently where the tap water was dirty due to roadworks etc and if someone ran the shower before this was fully through your water pipes it would block the filter. I'd check that before spending any money on a pump or anything similar. As a side note in the meantime you probably shouldnt run the shower as you could burn out the motor in it if the filter is blocked!
