Hey Guys I need a bit of help in upgrading my new laptop to a higher spec for using software packages such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier Pro and Speedgrade.

Im more than happy with its performance with the first two programs but the laptop is lagging when using Premiere pro and Speedgrade. Im thinking its down to the hardrive which is a crap 5400rpm. The processor and memory seem to be handling the usage when iv viewed their performance on task manager running the programs. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Im thinking of putting a SSD in to boost performance??

4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4500U Processor 1.8GHz (4M Cache, up to 3.0 GHz) This runs at 2.8GHz when iv it on high performance.
    Windows 8 64bit, English
39.6cm (15.6") LED Backlit Touch Display with Truelife and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080)
    8GB2 Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz
    1TB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M 2GB DDR5

Are you sure you GPU acceleration is working correctly on the GT 750M when Premiere pro and Speedgrade are running? Apparently there can be some issues with Optimus.

Also make sure that the GPU acceleration is enabled, and that the card is unlocked for the various adobe programs as it is not on the 'officially supported' list of cards.
