Laptop won't shutdown

    Hi

    My Laptop won't shutdown or restart when I press the start function.

    Please advise how to resolve this in layman's language..

    Remove power and battery for a few minutes, i.e. switch it off and on again.

    Or press and hold the power button (about 10 seconds should do it) - machine will (should) then power off.
