I've bought a new build house and I'm looking to put parquet flooring in the hall and the kitchen. Its a turnkey house so the builder isn't very happy about us not picking things from his spec. I would love to put down reclaimed parquet but I don't think this is an option and have been advised not to put solid block parquet in a kitchen due to water and buckling issues. Does anyone know if an engineered type parquet is produced and where might stock such a thing either in NI or ROI?

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks
