    hi all,

i successfully import and wholesale goods from turkey, to the irish market. i now have a uk client who wants my products

i am trying to find a way to ship the goods directly from turkey to the UK, which will save me a large chunk on shipping costs.

can anyone tell me how i might approach this from a VAT standpoint?

My transport company have told me that i need to pay UK VAT at point of entry, and then claim back the UK VAT. Does anyone know if this is correct? If so, any ideas about how long this process might take, or how to apply?

Does anyone know of any alternate method of handling the VAT? for instance is there anywhere i could get the product cleared to ship into the UK, by paying Irish VAT at POE, but at the same time not having the goods themselves actually routed through Ireland?

    thanks

    Hi,

The transport company is right you have to pay VAT in UK and then you can recover it. We can help you recover your VAT the procedure with us being quite easy. For more details please give me your contact details and I can send you an email or you can give me an email anamaria.cusiac@uturntaxrefund.com.

Regarding the alternative we might give you some alternatives but we would need more details about the contractual terms.

As mentioned above please give me an email and we can discuss how is the best way to proceed.

    Regards,
    Ana-Maria Cusiac
