iTunes 11.1.4

    Pulled down the latest upgrade to iTunes at the week end but haven't installed it yet after the problems I had with 11.1.3. When ever I tried to modify the id3 tags of a movie (via get info) the program would crash. On the occasions that it didn't actually crash, the option to add artwork would be greyed out.

    So I'm hoping that someone on the forum here will report back on their experience of 11.1.4. If it's still doing this I'm going back to iTunes 10!

    Has no-one on here come up against the dreaded 'get info' bug in iTunes ? Since v. 11.x iTunes has in my view been going down the road to no town, 11.1.3 being the worst yet. Before I install 11.1.4, I'd really like to know if anyone else has tried it yet, and discovered any new bugs. Having to revert back to 10.7 or thereabouts would be a radical move, but one I'll consider if need be.

    Might be a bit late and useless to you but just tried doing what you asked and it worked fine on my iTunes. Keep in mind that I had no problems with the previous version either, but it could have been there and I just hadn't used the feature to notice.

    Not sure what version i'm running (at work now) but i've not had that problem. closest i could get was when i change the id tags in movies and add artwork, it would take a few seconds to accept it when i hit ok, sometimes up to 10 seconds with the odd beachball

    Cheers for the replies guys,

    I think I may have found a work-a-round for the problem. I had the most difficulty with HD movies imported from a Humax HDR. Even after re-encoding they remain a very large file size, that may be part of the problem. I found that running them through 'Handbrake' a second time, encoding for Apple TV it would let me change the tags as I liked, and change the media type from 'home videos' to 'movie'. I'll probably go ahead and install 11.1.4 now (after a back-up of course). Once again, thanks.
