Getting tyre valve fixed for NCT

Is it possible to get a tyre valve repaired or will I need to get a replacement tyre? Failed the NCT because its worn/chaffed.

The tyre needs to come off the rim to get a new valve stem in, but the tyre can be reused. It should only be a nominal charge with your local friendly tyre dealer to get a new valve popped in.

I have got new valve twice at a local place.
Got it done free both times so should be cheap for you.
