Hi - I know you cant ask for legal advice on this and im not looking for legal advice so im going to try to give a hypotetical senario to ask. See below

    Boy meets Girl
    Boy & Girl enter relationship
Girl end relationship resentfull and bitter
Girl has best friend working in Phoniex Park HQ
Boy and Girl attempt to reconsile
Girl tells boy details about his entire dealings with Gardai down through the years before she even met him. Stuff even he had forgotten. (No convictions came out of any dealings bit of a boy racer in his day)
Girl tells boy information came from best friend in Phoenix Park HQ PULSE system
Boy and girl fail to reconsile because boy cant be bothered
Boy receives a number of threats from girl claiming she is going to destroy boys career, voicemails etc.
What can boy do to stop this?

Boy doesnt think there is any point crying over spilt milk, whats done is done but needs to stop information leaking out to angry ex in case she destroys him altogether.

What does boy do in this case?

Report to ombudsman. All records accessed on PULSE are logged with date and time of who accessed them.

edit: you could also complain to the Data Protection Commissioner.

Don't delete voicemails, emails, etc. Since he has no convictions, I doubt that she could really accomplish anything, but if she does and depending on the details, he can possibly take a defamation claim. Also, if anything happens career-wise, the evidence may come in useful.

If he wants to do something now in advance, then take the evidence to the Gardai to support a claim of harassment.

Moderator: Legal advice cannot be sought or given on this forum. Boy should speak to a solicitor.
