Priced it last year but don't know where the sheet is gone. We were going to go down the concrete post and timber rail route.

We ended up buying good creosoted stakes and two strands of wire. Its in the yard entrance and there us no maintenance.

Good post and rail looks nice but I bloody hated having to paint it all here

This post & rail fence is €19 a metre, supplied & erected, also includes the green mesh fence (might not be visible in photo)

I priced this last year but guessing that prices haven't changed very much.
You can buy the cheap stuff at approx €5 per metre (last about 10 years), the more expensive longer lasting pressure treated larch is approx €15/meter and approx €5/metre to erect it (with stakedriver, dig the holes and pack will be more expensive).
I used to erect a lot of it a few years back and advice is if the ground is not stony, drive the posts with a stake driver, much tighter fence that will move a little without breaking if something hits it. Dont listen to anyone that tells you they wont be straight, they will be if you get the right man on the stakedriver :).

Put up a bit of the concrete "post + 3 concrete rails" Local manufacturer is about 8 euro per piece, so about €32 per 8 foot length. Plus a mixer-full off concrete per upright. Plus a 1 foot bucket if you haven't got one ( if you have a back-hoe) Then six strands of high tensile to run between the rails. Looks great if its put up right, with the right curves and gradients. Nothing worse than one post a half inch too high or low. once you spot it, it'll drive you mad.

What's this looking for prices? I thought you would just ring your fencing contractor and tell him however kilometers of post and rail you want to do?
