Invisalign query

I've been to my initial consultation and was quoted 4,500e for the invisalign treatment. My teeth aren't that bad, it's only an overbite I want to fix and I'm thinking 4,500e is too expensive. Has anyone had cheaper quotations for the full treatment?

I paid around that for Invisalign. It's expensive. I got a good result but my girlfriend is getting a better result for less money with braces. There's no easy way to move teeth but metal and screws is by far the most effective and quickest way.

:-) so true, invisalign is for people with very little wrong with their teeth and got about 5k burning a hole in their pocket :-). there are now techniques available for adults with a fraction of the cost and time- adult orthodontics is gaining very fast market share. do your research before you commit

I'm two weeks into my Invisalign treatment with a dentist from clearbraces.ie. I signed up when there was €500 off the treatment a few months ago but all of their pricing is listed on the website. It's €3850 for the full set. I'm 28 and with my job I just didn't feel comfortable signing up to having metal braces, despite the fact they might produce better results. I have an overbite and some teeth that are behind others that I want to correct. I'm also using an Acceledent, which means I change my aligners every week instead of every fortnight, cutting my treatment time from 40 weeks to 20. This was an additional €900 but I feel it's worth it. One thing to bear in mind with Invisalign is that you might have to have some interdental filling done in order to make room for your teeth to move. This was probably the worst, most painful thing that I have ever experienced but it meant not having to have a tooth removed so I'm telling myself it was, and will be worth it. If you've any other questions I'd be glad to help!

Interdental filing is taking away in most cases healthy and irreplaceable enamel, there are now tooth colored and/or ceramic brackets which are very aesthetic , as long as you accept the risks of losing healthy enamel then it is fine

Unless one knows what the exact treatment need and circumstances are, cosmetic dentistry may not be good and is not a magic bullet
