Download or run directly Process Explorer from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653

When it's running, drag the rangefinder icon (the one to the right of the binoculars "Find" on the toolbar) on to your mystery window. Process explorer will identify the running process and you can get it's properties including whether the executable is signed and by whom

One way or another, take it as a hint to back up your important stuff (must do the same myself!)
