Hey I was just wondering what the story is for exams, where there is a CA part. Lets say module is 50/50 CA and exam and you get 100% in CA therefore have 50% of overall then can you hypothetically get 0% in exam and still pass?

The answer is - yes & no! It depends on the module. Some modules where there is a large amount of marks for the CA they may stipulate that you have to "pass the exam" as well, i.e. you have to get a minimum of 40 percent of the marks for the exam to pass the module, irrespective of what you got for the CA. I've never taken one of those modules myself but I have heard they do exist, but they have to tell you this in the module description before you enrol in that module. What does the module description say?

Thanks for the replies. It wasnt something that would really effect me per say but was just wondering how it was. I did look at my modules and it didnt mention anything regarding this. So Im guessing the majority of modules would be a +40% to pass overall.
