France vs Wales

    Hey everyone,

We are having our annual summer holiday debate here. We have gone back and forth between France and Wales over the last few years, and last summer we did a staycation, motorhoming around Ireland.

But we have started talking about plans for this year, and looking online. We are between a rock and a hard place now as the ferry prices for travelling to Wales and to France are more or less the same for the dates we are planning. And campsites are also around the same price. So with no financial difference, we are undecided. I am veering towards France as I have never gotten such a good quote, the kids ( 3 under 7) are saying Wales, but sure they haven't a clue;) and hubby is on the fence.

    Any opinions?

If the kids like the sun, I'd goto middle/South'ish France; better chance of good weather. With Wales, you may get nice weather, but you'll mostly get Irish weather. Get the oldest into a local swimming class now, so he can enjoy the pool and beach better when you do go.

France every time for me. The adventure of the ferry, decent campsites and warmer climate. If we have anything like the weather from last year you wouldn't have to leave Roscoff!

Well, we went with France. Great prices from Celtic Link ferries, €516 for the 5 of us with the MH
