    Hi,
I've a very awkwardly sized window in my conservatory in which I'm losing a lot of heat from. Has anyone got suggestions on how to dress the window in order to reduce heat loss?

    Hey
You could look into pleated blinds, vertical blinds or plantation shutters. The other alternative would be curtains!!
I know there is a company around abbyleix that have great experience in this area with pleated blinds.
Plantation shutters will cost you a small fortune for that window too!!

The problem of heat loss in your conservatory may also be to do with the roof type and its insulation properties. Therefore take a look the your roof structure and see what insulation,if any is in it,or how effiecent the roof is at holding heat in.
Luxaflex make thermal blinds made from a thermaly effiecent pleaed fabric material. But you will pay extra money for them compared to normal blinds.

Get in a builder and get rid of those triangles of glass. Put in a lintle and concrete blocks/insulation, or timber frame/insulation. Forget about blinds providing any realistic insulation. If a piece of paper thin fabric can provide insulation, wouldn't we just wallpaper our walls and ceilings with it, instead of installing several inches of highgrade insulation.

If it was me I'd definitely opt for interlined curtains. Not a cheap option either but no where near as expensive as the other options suggested. Vertical blinds would be a visual solution to dressing the window but won't help with heat loss in the slightest

We got some of the Luxaflex blinds referred to here installed recently. They might only be made from light fabric, but they do work well. I reckon that within time, they will pay for themselves and they were pricey!

Tulip Blinds in Timahoe might be able to help, but if it were me i'd go with Interlined Curtains
